In this “January Favourites” post I will share 4 items that have truly gifted me pleasure…and made my dentist very happy with me! You’ll see why;) ENJOY! And who knows, maybe one of my January Favourites will end up being one of yours too!
I absolutely ADORE this shower oil! I have lived in a variety of countries and climates and each time tried to find a product that would give me smooth, silky, moisturised skin. Nothing really did the trick until this Almond Shower Oil.
I used to use high quality shower gels and then even higher quality (and higher priced) lotions and they worked a bit, but the next day my skin would be dry again.
This product lathers up slightly, just enough, and then, without leaving you feeling greasy, moisturises your skin.

Petit Plaisir No. 2 – January Favourites
2. TePe Floss Sticks (found in most pharmacies)
Are you constantly told by your dentist that you need to floss better? I was too! The only problem was that I was flossing diligently everyday!
Finally, one dentist introduced me to these TePe Floss Sticks – I’ve not heard a word since about my plaque!
After brushing at night you simply insert the floss stick between each of your teeth and voila! That’s it! (You’ll be surprised at what comes out, even after you doing a brilliant job at brushing!)
Choose the width of your TePe Floss Sticks to match the space between your teeth. The orange, slim ones work best for me since I have very little space between my teeth, but if you have larger spaces, it’s best to purchase the wider ones.
TePe used to make their sticks out of wire and brushes but have now switched to these NEW, almost silicon material. I much prefer these NEW ones as I found the wire ones bent too easily and lost their shape, making each pick a one time use.

I came across them in Abu Dhabi 5 years ago when we were there on vacation. I am still wearing the nightwear and loungewear I bought as I just love them so much!
So, when I saw the OYSHO store here in Dubai I jumped at the chance to purchase more! I purchased these black satin pyjamas (to see me model them, watch the video above at minute 7:50) and three other items as I realised I had gotten back into the rut of wearing old, worn out clothes around the house, calling them my “cozies”. Can you relate?
Well, this brand is seriously the best brand around. They are high in quality, fit the body perfectly (as perfectly as any high end item would) and the prices are shockingly reasonable! I still cannot believe the price tag of these high quality items!

I’m very excited about February because it’s the month of LOVE – and you know we’re all about that here at The Elegant Life;) So… I have a petit surprise for you!
It’s a brand new year with a sense of wanting to restart, renew, or even re-invent ourselves. Am I right, Ladies?
Well, I suggest a slightly different perspective…I suggest clearing everything within us to get us back to what we REALLY are…an extension of Divine Consciousness/Source/God.
Why? Well, everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING that doesn’t have the feeling of Joy, Love, Peace or Abundance is out of alignment with what we are…yes, even extra weight.
Extra weight simply means there is energetic congestion in our body that requires clearing. Past experiences, memories, etc. have made us act in ways that sabotage us from having the body that feels best to our Soul – you know the one – the body you feel represents the REAL you.
So, are you ready to lose weight and energetic congestion?
The Biggest Mistake Women Make in Order to Lose Weight
One of the biggest mistakes women make (I did it myself, so I totally “get” this!) is to collect diet books.
I know, I hear you saying, “But Erin, these books are showing people how to lose the excess weight which you say we need to release!”
Wellllll, most diet books stem from one concept…you’re not good enough the way you are.
And, the very reason you buy these books is because of the thought running through your mind, which is, “I’m not good enough the way I am, so I need to lose weight.”
So, by the Law of Attraction, the energy we send out to the Universe is, “I’m not good enough, so I need to lose weight!”
The problem here is the focus.
If you come at this issue of “needing” to lose weight because you’re not good enough, you will attract circumstances into your life that will perpetuate you “needing” to lose weight.
Here at The Elegant Life, our sole desire is to release any energetic congestion that may be blocking our alignment with Divine Consciousness. THIS is our focus.
It seems similar to the one above, but the energy between the two is completely different, and thus creates completely different results.

It was a moment I’ll never forget… I felt complete bliss and fulfillment of every kind.
I was lying on the floor, covered in a warm blanket, listening to some peaceful music at a Spiritual Retreat when IT happened.
A Moment of PURE Fulfillment
Indigo and purple lights began swirling rapidly in my mind’s eye, faster and faster they swirled until I was no longer in my body, I was an energy, in union with Source Energy.
It felt like everythingness and nothingness all at the same time, and it was pure BLISS.
I’ve never really known how to fully express what happened to me but just recently I read in a book by Osho, that the Buddha describes “Nirvana” as meaning:
You have ceased to be; you are just an infinite emptiness like the sky. And the moment you are that infinity, you become full of stars, and a totally new life begins. You are reborn.”
Osho goes on to say,
Bliss is not something that you invent but something that you discover. Bliss is your innermost nature.”
Are You Craving Fulfillment, Bliss & Joy in Your Life?

Some of the “things” women mention are:
a parent recently passing

“Your level of fulfillment, success, health & bliss is directly related to the distance of where you are now to where you are in terms of knowing and embodying the fact that you are Divine Energy. That you are part of the the Source of All Energy – God.”

If the distance is wide between these two then your manifestations will take longer and your experience of life will be one of multiple growth opportunities so that you finally KNOW and EMBODY the truth of what you really are.
How do I know this? My gap used to be HUGE! Yet I felt I was a spiritual woman and a seeker of truth.
How to Close the Gap Between Where You Are Now & True Fulfillment
Six years ago I was in quite a state.
I was the mother of a newborn, after having a horrific birth experience (watch the video at minute 4:05 where I describe what made this such a medieval type birth!) with a 4 year old just starting school and an international online Parenting Business to run.
During the pregnancy of my daughter I was struggling with a few personal issues that made me fall into a depression, but after that birth experience I fell DEEP into depression.
Why? Because I felt completely abandoned by God. I had spent 3 months preparing myself to have a stunning, spiritual hypnobirthing experience and the fact that it went completely and utterly opposite from what I visualised made me…well…I’ll be brutally honest here…I gave God the finger.
